Eagles defender DEAN AUSTIN said today that he would be happy to stay at Selhurst Park for the rest of his carreer. He is very happy at the club and he said that if chairman Jordan offered him an extended deal he would probably sign it.
AUSTIN indicated that he is enjoying his football at Crystal Palace and he believes that he has been pretty consistent in his games for the club this season.
AUSTIN agreed a new contract last summer and is already looking for another deal.
The former Spurs player said: "I love this club and am comfortable with the people around me. But I don't know what plans the club have for me.
"The gaffer has openly said that he wants four or five players to bolster the squad for next season."
Also today, it has been reported that The Eagles will try to sign Arsenal central defender Matthew Upson on loan if the club can't sign anyone on a permanent transfer in the near future.
Alan Smith is keen on bringing fresh blood into his side's defence and has been on a scouting mission but if he fails to find someone he wil make a move for Upson.
Smith has been handed money by Jordan and he has been to Europe this week to find reinforcements.
